Privacy policy

Data controller

MissionMonde, published in a personal capacity by its founder, who lives in France, until its company is registered. For any question about your data: ift.contact10@gmail.com.

Without a subscription

You can browse the site without an account and without giving your name or email. The following is processed:

  • your IP address, used by our hosts to deliver pages and by the API to limit abuse (for example 10 requests per minute). It is not saved in our database;
  • for a review or a report: the rating, the text or the reason, and a fingerprint computed from your IP address and a random identifier of your device. This fingerprint is irreversible. It is used only to accept one review or report per person;
  • for a click on a listing: the platform, the listing and the chosen country, without any identifier;
  • cookie-free audience measurement (Umami): pages viewed and a few actions (click on a listing, share, report), without any personal identifier;
  • technical error reports (Sentry), used to fix failures.

With an alert subscription

To send you alerts and manage your subscription, we process:

  • your email address and phone number;
  • your country, time zone, language, search criteria and plan;
  • the status of your subscription, your payment history (date, amount, status) and the customer reference at the payment provider;
  • an irreversible fingerprint of the payment method, to prevent referral abuse;
  • the sending history: date, number of listings, email opens and clicks;
  • if you turn on notifications: the technical address provided by your browser to receive them;
  • your referral code and your referrals.

We never receive your bank card or mobile money account details: they stay with the payment provider.

Why and on what basis

  • Sending alerts, managing the subscription, payment and referral: performance of the contract.
  • Keeping accounting records: legal obligation.
  • Limiting abuse, securing the site, fixing errors, measuring audience without cookies: legitimate interest in providing a reliable service.
  • Sending notifications: your consent, given in your browser, which you can withdraw at any time.

Your data is never sold or used for advertising.

Retention period

  • Subscriber data: during the subscription, then 30 days after cancellation or after a sign-up that was never paid. It is then deleted automatically.
  • Payments: 10 years, for accounting obligations, separated from your identity after your account is deleted.
  • Notification address: until notifications are turned off, the subscription is deleted, or after several failed deliveries.
  • Fingerprints of reviews and reports: as long as the review or report exists.

Recipients and processors

Your data is accessible only to MissionMonde and to the providers needed for the service:

  • Supabase: database, servers located in Paris, France;
  • Render: application server (API);
  • Cloudflare: website hosting, anti-bot protection (Turnstile);
  • Brevo (France): sending emails;
  • Stripe: card and PayPal payments;
  • the mobile money payment provider shown on the payment page;
  • Sentry: error reports;
  • Umami: cookie-free audience measurement;
  • your browser’s notification service (Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft), for notifications;
  • DeepL and Google: translation of listings, which do not contain your data.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers are located in the United States (Render, Cloudflare, Stripe, Sentry) or may access data from there for maintenance. These transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses no advertising or audience measurement cookies. It only stores on your device what it needs to work:

  • mm_lang, mm_country, mm_vue (cookies, 1 year): your language, your country and the chosen display (cards or list);
  • mm_theme: the light or dark theme;
  • mm_device: a random device identifier, used for the fingerprint of reviews and reports;
  • mm_parrain: the referral code of the link you arrived from;
  • mm_reported, mm_reported_urls: the listings you have already reported;
  • mm_visits, mm_install_dismissed: the display of the offer to install the app;
  • mm_counted, mm_stale_reload: display settings, cleared when the tab is closed.

As these items are needed for the service, they do not require consent. You can clear them in your browser settings.

Your rights

You can access your data, correct it, delete it, receive it in a readable format, object to processing or ask for it to be restricted.

  • From your subscription management page: download all your data, change your information, delete your account.
  • By email to ift.contact10@gmail.com. A reply is given within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr), or with the data protection authority in your country.

Security

Exchanges are encrypted (HTTPS). Links sent by email are signed and can be invalidated. Database access is restricted to the service. Fingerprints are computed with a secret key and cannot be used to recover an IP address.
